WHITE IDOL: Chumquaxa civilisation (2500 BC)*

THE STORY: This rare white idol sculpture was quite a discovery. Found near the temple at Axotl in the dig of 1912, it is the only one of its kind so far seen. The all-seeing eye god is represented here by in glossy white with a dark iris peeking out from behind the glaze, on a bare clay plinth. The whole idol is approximately 27cm tall. (*Caution, provenance of this piece is possibly an entire invention. By me.)
